I know some of you will hate me for this but it is just like yours - an opinion. And plug-ins simply aren't worth it with whatever is available to you online.
Not that I don't want to but most of the times that means me not being able to afford food and/or rent at the moment. I've been on the same end of the stick plenty of times and while it's certainly nice to have access to all the latest features of whatever plug-in, I was (and still am) always grateful for the stuff I do get to use without having to pay for it. Until then I suggest you go with either of my previously mentioned options.Īlways remember that beggars can't be choosers and this case isn't any different. But only time will tell if and when this may happen. I hope somebody will come along and crack/keygen some newer version so the poor (and the few that can but are absolutely unwilling to support like Kanye ) among us too can try all the different features the newer versions have added.
I'm still a student (about to graduate though) and I have a hard time affording the plug-ins that I actively use in my productions. I actually bought the synth since it's well worth it (had to save up some serious money to do so though) but I can also definitely understand money being very tight for plenty of people. That probably leaves you with the earlier mentioned options as your only valid ones.

So you may have to wait for a very long time until you can get a newer version either cracked or successfully keygened. Now, I'm really not too sure why, but it seems neither R2R nor other more independent crackers are actively cracking and/or creating keygens (and sharing the fruits of their labor) for the more recent Serum versions.

If these options do not satisfy you, you will have to wait for somebody to crack the latest version and upload it somewhere (most likely the sister site) or for R2R to upload a newer keygen which can satisfy the more recently added serial checks. The original installers that are usually being uploaded to the sister site nowadays will not work and are probably only being uploaded so people can some extra cash through the downloads from UL and Rapidgator. There may be newer versions cracked and available online but I am unaware of any. The other option is to stay with the latest officially released version from either R4E (v1.0.7b3) or R2R (v1.0.6b7) and be happy with the features you get from those versions. The first one is to simply buy Serum, be it either straight up or through the Splice rent-to-own program they recently started. The way I see it you have 2 to 3 options depending on how you can mix and match them to whatever works for you. Usually the extra checks and re-direction happens whenever you recall presets, at least it did in the previous updates. When it does, it will direct you to the Xfer Records site and ask you to buy the plug-in. What happens is that additional key checks have been added within later updates, so the key will still be accepted at first but will fail some of the later added checks. You will get the timebomb even on PCs that have never been connected to the internet.
